Bin collections have resumed on Monday 5th March 2018. The message to residents remains that if their blue or green bin was missed from last week to leave it out and it will be collected this week. Brown bin services have been temporarily suspended to assist in the catch up and to allow normal Monday collections to go ahead. If a brown bin is not collected this week on the scheduled collection day it can be taken back on to the resident’s property and put out for collection on the next scheduled day for that bin.
There are still issues with snow drifts in the rural areas that have not yet cleared and this will affect some collections but the situation will be monitored through the week and collections carried out at the earliest opportunity.
An explanatory message has been placed on the introduction for all calls into the Contact Centre and there is also a dedicated webpage for winter information – www.staffordbc.gov.uk/winter-information-and-advice that is being well used.
We will provide a further update when more details are available. In the meantime please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further information or clarification on the above.
