One of the first grants we obtained was through our Local County Councillor Ian Parry through the County Council's Local Member Initiative Scheme.  We were awarded £1500 which enabled us to kit out one responder bag.  The County Council are promoting the scheme and wished to film two schemes supported by councillors from two different political parties.  We were chosen and were filmed on a sunny afternoon in June. The dvd will be shown at a Local Government Association in Harrogate. Click on the pictures below to see 'filming in action'.

A Community First Response (CFR) Scheme is a group of trained volunteers, dedicated to a specific area who, under the control of the Ambulance Service, are notified of medical emergencies in their area and agree to respond and provide emergency life support until the arrival of the Ambulance Service. The Staffordshire Community First Responder groups work as an integral part of Staffordshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, providing medical care in line with the requirements of the Trust.
