Christmas Cheer at Barlaston Library 

Christmas begins on Thursday 15th December at Barlaston Library.

The children from the First school will be singing their Christmas songs in the library at 11am and staff will be on hand to serve coffee and mince pies to one and all.

Baby Bounce and Rhyme comes to Barlaston 

Baby Bounce and Rhyme sessions will be starting at Barlaston library every fortnight from Friday 16th September 2005 2.30-3.00pm.

Music, rhymes and fun for parents, carers, babies and toddlers up to 3 years old. 

Hand Made Cards 

Hand  made  cards  which  try  to  capture  the  “complex  beauty  and  cryptic mystery  of  nature”   are  now  on  display  at  Barlaston  library.  This interesting  exhibition  by  Sarah  Louise  Massey  can   be  seen  throughout  the   month  of  September  during  normal  library  opening  times.

There will be coffee morning every Thursday starting on Thursday 7th November, from 9am - 12 noon. Coffee, tea and biscuits available for just 25p

As from Monday 16th September opening hours will be as follows:

Monday - CLOSED
Tuesday - 9.00 am - 1 pm and  2 pm - 6 pm
Wednesday - CLOSED
Thursday - 9.00 am - 1 pm and  2 pm - 5 pm
Friday - 2 pm - 6 pm
Saturday - 9.00 am - 1 pm

Opening hours will increase by one and a half hours per week.

We now sell stamps and cards for all occasions Woodmansterne and other varieties.  Prices range from 89p  to 1.75

MEMBERSHIP IS FREE, JUST BRING ALONG SOME ID

Barlaston is a friendly village library offering a wide range of services including:- Free loan of books for all ages, Large print and Talking Books, Information, "What's On", a Local History Collection, Photocopying and Free Internet Access.

The library also provides a Home Reader Service for the Housebound and Videos, DVDs, CDs and CD Roms are available on request.

Events including Talks, Exhibitions, Coffee Mornings and Booksales are also a regular feature.
