I was very pleased to learn that the project to improve the canal towpath between Meaford and Barlaston (Plume of Feathers) has now passed through all its approval stages and is currently in its detailed implementation planning stage. It is hoped that the work on site will start in February 2013 and will be completed in twelve weeks.
The completion of the project will mean that it should be possible to have a pleasant walk into Stone.
