COVID-19 – Community Testing and Hotspots

posted in: Latest News | 0

Although the cases of Covid-19 in Staffordshire have started to dip slightly, as you would expect in a lockdown, they still remain very high.

We are now under national lockdown and people must not leave, or be outside their home except where necessary. Some people may need to leave home for example to shop for basic necessities, or to go to work, if they cannot work from home, and we are asking all these people in these areas to get tested, even is they have no symptoms.

We are also asking people who live in hotspot areas to get tested. There are now Community Testing Sites in each of the district and boroughs. Community Testing pop-ups will also tour the county each week. See details of hotspots and testing for next week below.

People can book a rapid test at Welcome to the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Community Test Sites Appointment System (  People are allowed to leave home to take a test.

So please do share and encourage more people without symptoms to get tested.
