We Will Remember Them

I am sure that all who attended the Civic Service at the Parish Church on 3rd August were moved. The service was a fitting tribute to those men of Barlaston who lost their lives in the First World War and to those who were deeply affected by it. The Rev Cathy Case had worked hard in researching the local history of the time in conjunction with Bert Lowe whose father and uncle had left the village to take up arms. It can be truly said that the men who fell were ‘remembered’.
