Control of Dogs

Councillors Tony Dodd, Sara Fearns and Viv O’Dunne braved the freezing cold this morning to meet in the Plume of Feathers’ car park to remind dog walkers of the importance of clearing away dog mess from the tow path and to ensure that it was disposed of properly.  An enforcement officer from Stafford Borough Council was in attendance. It was pleasing to note that the Councillors received a very supportive response from the many dog walkers that passed by and it was felt that highlighting a potential problem in this way was a positive step forward.  It was a pity that it was not a little warmer.

The canal towpath from the Wedgwood Bridge to the Plume of Feathers is a very pleasant place to stroll. Let us all make sure that it is not spoilt through thoughtlessness.
