It was back to the Village Hall tonight to present the annual Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee Award. This year I was delighted to present the award to Tony Dodd. Tony has lived in Barlaston for 40 years and is a well respected Parish Councillor. He was nominated for the award for his services to the Village Hall. Tony was an integral member of the team who revitalised our Village Hall. He worked tirelessly as Entertainments Manager to bring a range of popular musical groups and latterly, through his association with ‘Live and Local’ he was able to book performers with a national reputation.
It was very fitting to make the presentation to him at the Barn Dance following the Village Show.
